OUR CLINIC
Sugar Run Equine was founded by Dr. Amanda Pope in 2021. Dr. Pope grew up in Wooster, Ohio, where she developed her love of horses after getting her first Morgan mare, Sugar Run Polly Prim, as a Christmas present. She graduated from The Ohio State University Veterinary School, where she received the Excellence in Equine Medicine Award, in 2012. After that she completed a two-year internship at New England Equine Practice in upstate New York. She then worked as an associate veterinarian at Millbrook Equine for almost 7 years before deciding to move back home to Wooster. Dr. Pope developed a love of equine chiropractic and acupuncture and is excited to offer those services for your equine athlete in Ohio. Equine dentistry, in-home euthanasia and certain equine medicine consultations are also available upon request.
